Adderall is a mixed-salts amphetamine central nervous system stimulant indicated for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy.

Take in the morning, with or without food. A late dose can cause insomnia. Your prescriber will review your response and blood pressure regularly.

Common: reduced appetite, insomnia, dry mouth, weight loss, increased heart rate. Report chest pain, fainting or new psychiatric symptoms immediately.

Schedule II — no refills; a new prescription is required for each fill. High potential for abuse and dependence. Not for use with MAO inhibitors. Cardiovascular screening is recommended before starting.
